Saturday Reading Wrap-up - 11/26/22

Hello again.  Not a bad reading week overall.  But I'm back to two books behind schedule.

No new books of any kind.  I really need to spend some time this weekend looking for new ebooks, but I still have scads of unread hardcopies, so it's all good.

Books Read:

65) Enter the Witch by Andris Bear (11/20/22) - Paranormal Mystery* - 4 stars. New to me but not underappreciated. Picked up free after a recommendation from a book page I follow on FB.
Review: "
Good writing, likable characters, awesome plot and interesting world. The problem? Too darn short. And the teaser at the end. I mean, I know they exist to sell the next book, but ARGH!"

64) Under the Assassin's Moon by Silver James (11/20/22) - Paranormal Romantic Suspense* - 5 stars.  Not new to me but underappreciated.  These books are awesome and more people should be reading them. Bought at full price - $2.99.
Review: "
I read this book when it was under the Kindle World thing, and I have to say this new version is even better. I loved Brody and Zeta before. Ms. James has delved even deeper and made their story richer, so I love them even more now. Great book!"

No DNFs.

Currently reading... Hogfather by Terry Pratchett.  It's strange, but fun.

What was on your reading wrap-up for this week?  Find anything good?

  1. This was not a stellar reading week for me. That said, I stand at 145 books, still 10 books ahead of schedule. I only need 5 more to hit my goal and there's a new addition to a series releasing in 9 days and there are two books to relisten to before it so that's 3. Just leave's me 2 and I'll get my current read done eventually, so I'll only have 1. LOL

Sadly, I did not complete one book. Happily, I've been writing like a madwoman so there's that. I'm currently reading ARCHANGEL'S RESURRECTION, Nalini Singh, (Guild Hunter/Archangel #15). There's a lot of world history (worldbuilding) in this book which is interesting but I'm just not that invested with the two MCs. I like them well enough but I'm not driven to find out what comes next. It happens. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not sure what will come next. I picked up a paranormal romance on sale so maybe it. I liked the sample and there's the possibility of some humor with the romance between a witch and a werewolf in New Orleans. We'll see.

On that note, I need to get off the webz, get more coffee, see a man about a horse (euphenism), and get to work. This dang book isn't going to write itself no matter how much I plead with the writing gods. 🤣

Happy reading! And thanks for the awesome review and very kind words. I'm proud of the rewrites on these books so I'm doubly happy that readers (and friends!) appreciate them too. 🤗

  2. I finally found the last Garrett PI book, so I've been rereading the whole series. I love those books!

I still haven't recovered from eating toooooo much on Turkey Day. ;-)
