2018 Books Read

Umm, yeah, this is way later than I usually do my 'books read' post, but that's because I chose a honker of a book to read first.  And I was also wrapped up in editing and publishing.

I have  had a goal to read 70 books this year.  Whether that'll happen after this behemoth of a book?  Time will tell.  As always * will mean ebook, # will mean new-to-me, underappreciated author.

New symbol: ? after the genre means I'm not sure what it was supposed to be so I guessed.

8/5/18 - Increased goal to 80 books.

  1. I still say this one counts as ten books.

And I still don't have the courage to start it. ;-)

    1. LOL, if only Goodreads agreed with you, Deb. Then I wouldn't be 9 books behind on my reading goal.

I don't blame you. Shogun takes major commitment. I never thought it would take me almost 2 months to read. Gah.

  2. You are a more optimistic reader than I, Gunga Din. I read SHOGUN years and years ago but the thought of tackling it today? Nope.

I'm on track to my goal of 220 read with 33 "official" books down. I have ten more not listed because they're contest reads and can't be revealed until summer. Of course, I'm reading "small" these days, and doing a lot of listening so I get book time in while I drive or putz around the house.

And I agree. Books like SHOGUN and WAR AND PEACE should could for extra bonus books!

    1. Well, see, I watched bits of the Shogun miniseries eons ago and I remembered it being really interesting, so I wanted to tackle the book. Big sucker that it was. It was interesting.

220? You go, girl! I'll be lucky if I hit the 70 I promised I'd read.

War and Peace? Oh, hell no. I'm not that brave.
