Picture Pause

Well, my words seemed to be otherwise occupied lately, so once again, I'll leave you with a picture.  This morning all the birds behaved and gave me a wide range of subjects to photograph.  The Great Blue Heron stayed in one place long enough for me to go back home for my camera.  The Snowy Egret let me catch him mid-flight.  And tons of geese came in for landings at just the right place for me to snap their pics.  It was a good morning.

Speaking of geese...

I counted 73 on the lake this morning.  What really kills me about this pic is the duck.  He just sat there while the geese landed over the top of him.  =o)
