Sunday Update - Week 28

Hello again.  Twenty-eight weeks into 2019 now.  Not sure how it got to be this late in the year already.

I'm still not writing or editing.  Maybe I should stop talking about it and just do it, eh?

Still marketing a bunch.  The Project Hermes sale ended and the Blink of an I sale began.  Sold some PH, but no BOIA yet.

I only read one book last week, but it was a big one.  And I DNF'd two books yesterday.  Then I started another one.  I thought it was MG, but oh, hell, noes.  MG doesn't have so many swears.  I don't care about swearing, but that may be a huge niche snafu with this book.  We'll see how it goes.

Last week, I managed 6 out of 7 days with activity.  Lots of walking, and then I also did yardwork on two of the days I walked.  And then the day I didn't count as active was grocery shopping - which I sometimes think pushing a cart full of foodstuffs around Wallyworld ought to count.  Still no weight change, but then again, I haven't really managed to cut back on the amount I'm eating.  I love food.

Speaking of food, I made lemon coconut bread yesterday.  Earlier in the week, I made peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.  Hubs is in heaven.

Other than that, not much going on around here.  How are things in your world?

  1. Sorry about the DNFs. Hate when that happens. Hope the sale works out for you. Yay on the walking. I've cut way back on food intake and I've managed to stay under 200 for this week.

I found a new app you might like if you had a smart phone or tablet with a camera. It's called "Seek" by iNaturalist. You use the phone/tablet camera to scan flora and fauna and the app identifies it for you. I thought I had a massive invasion of poison ivy taking over my front "island" flowerbed. Turns out, while the vine has 3-leaf clusters, it's American Hog Peanut, a member of legume family. I can happily get out there and rip it out by hand once the weather cools down. Or not. It's stifling the Bermuda grass that rooted in the unplanted end.

No writing for two days. Doing other $h!+ that's prep for NYC. Only and I leave a week from tomorrow. I am soooo not even close to being ready. Gah.

Loki is back to normal. He pigged out on food yesterday and is back to creating mischief and mayhem. I still have one more day of amoxacillin to give him. Did I mention that kitten amoxie is pink like little kids? Crazy.

That's about the sum total of my life. Listening to books, worrying about the WIP, fretting over life in general. Stuff happens. (And I think I'll copy and paste this for my on Monday update. 😂🤣😂

  2. Yay for being active! Movement is supposed to stimulate the brain. Reading does, too. That's my excuse for reading so much. ;-)

It's probably a VERY good thing I'm a terrible cook.

    Wishing you many more sales!
