Back around to the reading wrap-up again. Hello.
I did pick up one new book this week. I think it might be a thriller, but it's listed as Action/Adventure on Amazon. I haven't started it yet. Since I put off writing that UF I was working on, I dipped into the new ebooks I hadn't read yet. And I still have all those hardcopy books. Tons to read.
Unfortunately, the new release I was really looking forward to this past week went live at $8.99 for the ebook. And if you know me at all, you know I won't pay that much for an ebook. As much as it bummed me out to not be reading it right now, it's the principle of the thing. Like I said, I have plenty of other things to read.
72) Resurgence (Demon Spring #1) by S. Usher Evans (10/5/18) - Urban Fantasy*# - 5 stars. New to me and with less than 50 reviews, so underappreciated.

71) Crocodile Creek by Valerie Parv (10/3/18) - Romance - 4 stars. New to me, but it's an old romance paperback.

70) The Krewe by Seth Pevey (9/29/18) - Suspense*# - 5 stars. New to me, new to the world, and not appreciated much yet. It's also the author's first book, which I didn't realize until after I'd read and reviewed.

DNF - 10/1/18 - Mystery. One of the used paperbacks I picked up the other day. The author was irritating me, so I put it down on Sunday. I picked it up again on Monday to see if it was just my own headspace. I made a little progress until the author had her MC making snotty comments about the 2nd amendment. I was, I don't know, about thirty pages in. Meh. I'm glad I didn't pay more than 50c for it.

I finished that UF last night and then posted this, so I'm not sure what I'm reading next. You'll see when you check in next Saturday.
What were you reading last week? Anything squee-worthy?
Not really. I was mostly in a reading slump. I opened an audio book for a re-listen because I enjoyed it the first time and I wanted some laughter. Bear and honey badger shifters have potential for that. I stopped mid-listen when another book caught my eye. BORN IN FIRE (Fire and Ice Trilogy #1) is free on Kindle (NOT KU - Kindle) and the audio book was only $7.49. It's okay. Not blowing my skirts up but I'm still listening. It'll probably be a 3.5 or 4 unless things get boring in the second half. I'm in a totally weird headspace when it comes to reading (and writing!) these days. Gives me a sad. :/
