Howdy, folks. It's time again for wrapping up my reading week. Yay! I read books this week! :muppetflail: Unfortunately, neither one encouraged me to leave reviews.
I picked up two new ebooks - both cozy mysteries. And I still have a historical paranormal mystery from before that I'm currently reading. No new hardcopies. Maybe now that I'm working, I can loosen the budget up a little.
Books Read:
38) Death Warmed Over by Kevin J. Anderson (7/10/22) - Paranormal Noir* - 4 stars, the author isn't new to me but I haven't read him in a long time. And it wasn't underappreciated. Free after seeing someone post about it on FB.
No Review.
37) Blood Water Falls by TG Reid (7/9/22) - Suspense*2 - 4 stars. Not new to me or underappreciated. I also picked this one up after seeing it mentioned on FB that it was free.
No Review.
No DNFs.
Currently Reading... the first book in a paranormal historical (historical paranormal?) series where I read the 5th one first. Derp. Anyway, the first book seems to be as good as the 5th, so that's something. I'm about 30% through.
What was up in your reading world this week?
My listening was decent this week but I'm doing re-listens to remind me of characters and series plot arcs for the new release that hit Tuesday, which I just started last night. I've finished 91 of my 150 challenge. I managed 4 books this past week. As they are repeats, I won't list individually. The books belonged to the Phoenix Pack/Mercury Pack interconnected series and the first 2 books of the spin-off Olympus Pride by Suzanne Wright. These are paranormal romance, with quirky humor and way too many sexy bits but that's the author's style and I can always fast-forward through those bits since these books are repeats. After I finish the newest, WHEN HE'S SINFUL, not sure what I'll read next. Ugh. I hate trying to find a book when I'm not in the right headspace.
ReplyDeleteThe next new release in an auto-buy series doesn't drop for 23 days and I only have 5 books to relisten to to catch up for the new one. That's just over a week's worth. *sigh* Sometimes, I wish I wasn't such a voracious reader. Which lasts for about...a minute. LOLOL
Enjoy your weekend and happy reading!
