I picked up one new ebook this week - a mystery. Still have four unreads left - 2 UF, paranormal mystery, and MG fantasy. No new hardcopies.

Extra Note: I want to read the second book, but it's breaking rules I set for myself - calling itself a 'reverse harem' book and frontloading keywords in the title. Plus, it's outside my budget right now.

72) Omega Games (Stardoc #8) by SL Viehl (8/3/19) - SF - 5 stars. Not new to me but could be appreciated way more. I've had this book for years and I've read it before. I'm slowly making my way back through this series since I originally read it out of order and skipped several in the middle.

71) Maggie's Run (Outback Brides #1) by Kelly Hunter (8/3/19) - Romance* - 5 stars. New to me, but not underappreciated. Picked up for free from the Book Doggy newsletter.

DNFs:
8/7/19 - Mystery. Free. I should've known better than to start a series at book #5, but I picked it up by accident and figured what the hell. It was too cluttered with reminding readers about stuff that happened before while also being way too cluttered with new stuff. This happened and this happened and this happened and this happened and here's a puppy. It all got very 'short attention span theater' and confusing and I gave up.
Currently reading... Nothing. I did stuff yesterday, then I went fishing, then it was Live PD night. So I didn't pick up another book to read. I'll find something to read later today.
What did your reading week look like?
I started, but haven't finished, BLACKSTONE, a historical suspense by Richard Falkirk. It's a blast from my past and free on KU. I'm enjoying it but can only read for so long. I'm editing 5 books and reading them on computer as I go so reading on the Kindle at night is hit or miss. Still, it's a fun one, much as I remembered.

165: The Leopard King (Ars Numina #1), Ann Aguirre. Reread, not underappreciated, 4 stars, Paranormal Fantasy. Good start to the series. Free to listen with Audible Escape subscription.
166: The Demon Prince (Ars Numina #2), 5 stars. REALLY liked this one, though it was much sexier than the 1st. The heroine is probably on the autism spectrum and some readers found her hard to connect with. I liked her a lot and the H/h make a perfect couple. Audible Escape
167: The Wolf Lord (Ars Numina #3) 4 stars. Enjoyed this one quite a bit. The heroine is driven, the hero something of a slacker but he steps up and a political marriage turns to love. Audible Escape
Curently listening to The Shadow Warrior (Ars Numina #4). This one involves an Eldritch (sort of a cross between an elf and a fae) assassin and a tiger shifter. This one goes deeper into the sexy bits with some D/s overtones. It's well done but won't be everyone's cup of tea. Sadly, the next two books in the series aren't available yet.
Not as many books this week but I'm trying to get my own ducks in a row for publishing purposes. Hope you caught fish!

DeleteI thought of you when I read 'For Fox Sake'. I think it would be right up your alley - fun and suspenseful and spicy. Not sure if they have audio, though. =o(
