My uncle's Christmas present -- mailed on 12/12 -- still hasn't arrived at the rest home. :-( But I got a card yesterday, and that cheered my day.

We all went to Mom's place for Mexican food on Christmas. I love that! Mom is still adjusting to being alone, I think, but she seems to be doing well. Dad had been failing for several years, so no one was surprised.

I've been on a reading binge, and didn't get much work done. My way of coping with stress, I guess. I'll try to do better this week. Maybe. ;-)Deb Salisbury, Magic Seeker and Mantua-Makerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01513482264195697450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6076293789081887442.post-22067753986108917262020-12-27T13:33:01.382-06:002020-12-27T13:33:01.382-06:00Is that Black Rifle coffee the one made by veteran...Is that Black Rifle coffee the one made by veterans? Where would you rate it on the taste level? I'd like to buy some for Greg. He loves Laughing Man coffee.

I don't drink coffee so I have no clue how to judge.Maria Zanninihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01604862636922299273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6076293789081887442.post-59736091309953954022020-12-27T09:34:01.523-06:002020-12-27T09:34:01.523-06:00Cedar chips make good mulch but you'd need a c...Cedar chips make good mulch but you'd need a chipper/shredder to go with the chainsaw. I'm trying to make friends with the crows--throwing out leftover dog food and cawing at them in the mornings--but the starlings are beating them to it.

Christmas was low key. We headed up to the kids for Santa, presents, and cinnamon rolls. Only introduced Stormy to the Christmas Tag Game. He got a bike from Santa and lots of books. Which he asked for. I LOVE that the kid is a reader! The highlight of the morning was Baseball Boy reading one of his tags--To BB, from Moby Dick. Stormy looks up at his dad with furrowed brow and says, "Moby DICK?!" That set BB off and we all went there. FYI, it was a GC to Old Navy, which Only figured out immediately. We stopped by the BiL/SiL's on the way home to drop off their presents. Her mom was there and gets freaked by having people around due to Covid. We didn't go in. I did a freezer-to-oven pre-seasoned boneless turkey breast and we had sandwiches after naps. Also pumpkin and pecan pies. I got GCs, which I asked for, wolf calendar (I'd already bought one but will use LG's) and a bad cat small calendar for the fridge (and had ordered a wolf one for that as well, arriving tomorrow). Oh well. He's a keeper anyway. LOL We gave each other a new backdoor light. The halogen we had kept "eating" the bulb on one side of the dual spotlights. Found an daylight LED dual spot. Lights up the entire area. It is AWESOME! It's the little things. LOL

Yesterday, I caught up on DVR shows--mainly The Masked Singer. Today, book listening and maybe list making for the coming week and year, and setting up my blog/Monday follow-up for tomorrow. There will be deep thoughts. 🤣🤣

Have a great week! And yummers on the coffee! 😉Silver Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15606837105470988646noreply@blogger.com
