Casino Royale (James Bond #1) Ian Fleming, 5 stars: I'd forgotten what an amazing writer Fleming was. I snatched the audio book for $1.95 on sale and totally glad I did! This book was the world's intro to "Bond, James Bond." I loved it!

77. Always Be My Banshee (Mystic Bayou #4) Molly Harper, 4 stars, this was a free listen with my Audible subscription. Harper writes humorous paranormal romantic romps and I enjoy her forays into Mystic Bayou, Louisiana where the major is a bear shifter and the sheriff is a dragon. Lots of fun with a bit of a gender bender in this one--the banshee is male. Light-hearted fun with some suspense.

78. The Ancestor, Danielle Trussoni, 4 stars: I don't really know what to say about this. I was on the library wait list and it dropped. New-to-me author, not underappreciated. It's gothic suspense supernatural fiction. Sort of. It's a head scratcher of a book to describe but I enjoyed it. The voice and flow reminded me quite a bit of early Mary Stewart and Phyllis A. Whitney. Glad I read/listened to it but I don't need a copy for my keeper shelf.

I'd just started JD Robb's JUDGEMENT IN DEATH when THE ANCESTOR dropped. Not sure I'm in the mood to go back to it at the moment. I'll looking at a couple of possibilities: A spin-off in the Codex series by Annette Marie, the next book in Jennifer Estep's Crown of Thorns series (though might have to do a reread to remind myself of characters and world), or...I'm not sure. I'll figure it out when it's time to listen later today.

Happy reading!Silver Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15606837105470988646noreply@blogger.com
