This year I plan on fleshing out my novel and editing during NaNo. I hope it goes well, but we'll see =)

Personally, I think you need to write a completely new story. Don't go back and write something you started before, or work on book three of a series you haven't sold yet. Write something new, just for fun! =)Natalie Murphyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01116611923169722657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6076293789081887442.post-59033647762798550182013-10-23T10:36:59.446-05:002013-10-23T10:36:59.446-05:00I did NaNoWriMo once in 2009. Yeah. I'm now in...I did NaNoWriMo once in 2009. Yeah. I'm now in the process of rewriting that story and am halfway through the first draft. I'm going to finish the second half during the writing challenge my writing group is holding on FB in November. It took me four years to get over the horror of puking out X number of words 30 days in a row for word count sake. HOWEVER, after thinking about it some more, if things aligned I think I'd try it again. I've learned a lot about how I write in the four years since. I'd do more homework this time around. I would definitely plot more, etc. If you decide to go ahead good luck! The first step is admitting you have...LOL, Silver. The first step is admitting you have an addiction. Seriously, though, I know you and you'll crank those 50K out for whichever book you'll be working on and they'll be awesome. =o)B.E. My first year was......I guess I'm a NaNo junky. My first year was...2006? And that first novel was SEASON OF THE WITCH, which releases the day before NaNo starts. Fitting, right? I'll be completely rewriting the second book in the Penumbra Papers series, THE DEVIL'S CUT for this year's NaNo. Or...if I don't get my arse in gear, I may be writing a 1/2 novel with CHRISTMAS MOON. LOL For me, NaNo projects are fluid, so long as I get my 50K words because I'm competitive enough that I'm going to win. Dammit! :DSilver Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15606837105470988646noreply@blogger.com
