Birds landing and taking off, others on standby, waiting on the clothes line and trees for their turn at the feeder. I might throw some bread out for some of the bigger birds. But every time I see it and stick the camera between the venetian slats, it vanishes. Sigh.

This week I edited four chapters and exiled two, including an edited one. Double sigh. I'll save it for a short short later, but it no longer fits in this book. Still, I'm a quarter the way through the second draft.
